In the right place at the right time



Hello everyone!

This week was great and full of miracles! The mission is hard but God has a plan and he is watching out for us!

THE GOOD STUFF:
So this week was full of miracles! We have a lady that we are teaching named Maribel. We found her one day while we were contacting. This day wasn't anything out of the ordinary, our other appointment had fallen through and we were just contacting in her neighborhood. We knocked on her door, (when I say knocked I mean we yelled, "Saludos!!" at her front gate) and her mom came to the door. We started to introduce ourselves and then Maribel came out of her room to the door. She immediately invited us in and told us that God had sent us to her. She explained that she had been passing through a really hard time and that she was praying that same day for God to send her someone to help her. Then we came to her door. She came to church last week and we asked her this week if she was going to come again and she said, "Of course I am going to make time to go to MY church!” At our last lesson she told us that she had received the answer and that she knows that this is the true Church, so we extended a baptism date and she accepted! I have really seen a change in her since she has had the gospel in her life. We could literally see the change in her face and the way she looked. She even pointed it out to us, "Look at my face, it looks so much better doesn't it?" The Gospel really has the power to change and heal anyone in any situation that they are going through. I don't know the series of events that led us to her door but I know that it was God who guided us there! Sometimes we don't understand the reason behind the things that the Spirit prompts us to do, like talk to someone or knock on someone's door. But he always has a plan and he always provides a way!!! 

THE FUN STUFF:
Halloween was this week and the Dominicans don't really celebrate halloween but I tried to celebrate it my best by wearing my halloween socks proselytizing (picture attached below) and buying some candy. (Which was payed for by some very nice teenagers so that made the day better).

Don't forget to love like He does and NEVER give up!

Hello everyone! This week was great! I picked up my new little greenie on Wednesday and she is the cutest! Her name is Hermana Kirkham and she's from South Jordan, Utah! Hola everyone!  This week was awesome! We had zone conference with two members of the 70 who were doing a mission tour this week! Elder Alverado is actually speaking in conference in October and he is AWESOME so I encourage you all to pay special attention to him.  Zone Conference THE GOOD STUFF: So this week we had zone conference and boy was it amazing. We had two members of the 70 there and spoke to us. Elder Alverado talked about the gathering of Israel and how it is the most important work on the earth. We really are in a time where we are preparing for Christ to come. It's a cool experience to be completely immersed and dedicated to this gathering and this work. A scripture that we have been using a lot this week is in 2 Nephi 26:33. Hola everyone!  This week was crazy and full of miracles! I also hit 6 months so that is just crazy sauce. Time is flying by and I just can't keep up!  THE GOOD STUFF: So. Gary. We went back to his house after the tithing lesson and he said that he feels so good and he just can't wait for Saturday to come! I have never met anyone so prepared and ready for the gospel. He said that he knows how much his life is going to change but how he is willing to give up everything because the changes he is going to make are worth far more than anything else.  We also have a new friend we are teaching named Carlos. He is 21 and speaks English! He is so interested in the gospel and really was looking for the truth when we found him. We gave him a Book of Mormon this week and he told us that he was going to read the whole thing as fast as he could cause he just wants to know if its true for himself.  I am realizing the importance of putting the gospel first ...
