Hola everyone! Alright I know I talk about the weather so much but this entire week it was either cloudy or it rained!! It was honestly the biggest blessing. Thank you to whoever sent their prayers over to the two little roasting hotdogs because it worked! We actually had a huge rainstorm on Saturday night which was fun :) The rainstorm (I know it looks like snow but it's rain I promise) THE GOOD STUFF: So we had a really cool lesson with a lady and her two daughters that we have only taught once before. The first time we met them Xiomara (the mom) told us that she was Caltholic, but that she wouldn't turn away "la palabra de Dios" aka the word of God. So we shared a scripture about Christ and left them with the restoration pamphlet and put a day to come back. We came back the next week and were very surprised to find out that Camila (one of the daughters who is 18) had read the whole thing and had lots of questions about Joseph Smith. So we sat down...

Hello everyone!  So the title of this email pretty much explains this week. The humidity and the sun have been extra strong this week. Me and my comp joke around about being hot dogs on a stick, because honestly that's what it feels like. But we did get a rain storm one day which was a huge blessing.  My favorite calle (road) in Esperanza THE GOOD STUFF: So there isn't much to write about this week but we did have another really cool lesson with Kelsey (the guy we are teaching in English) and he's got tons of good questions. We also had some miracle people show up to church this week that we did not expect to be there, so we are really excited about that.  A scripture that we have used a ton this week with our investigators is Alma 38:9. It talks about Christ and how he is the light and the life of the world. We compared Christ to a lighthouse and how without him, we would crash our boats right into the rocks. Hola everyone!  This week was awesome! We had zone conference with two members of the 70 who were doing a mission tour this week! Elder Alverado is actually speaking in conference in October and he is AWESOME so I encourage you all to pay special attention to him.  Zone Conference THE GOOD STUFF: So this week we had zone conference and boy was it amazing. We had two members of the 70 there and spoke to us. Elder Alverado talked about the gathering of Israel and how it is the most important work on the earth. We really are in a time where we are preparing for Christ to come. It's a cool experience to be completely immersed and dedicated to this gathering and this work. A scripture that we have been using a lot this week is in 2 Nephi 26:33. Hola Everyone!  So this week was great! It's veeerrry hot over here but the work is good! So I hit 3 months this last week which is crazy sauce!! Time is just flying.  THE GOOD STUFF: So we have had a hard past few weeks with not really anyone progressing and we haven't been able to get anyone to come to church for a long time. Me and my comp have just been praying and praying and fasting that we could have someone come. We had a lot of people promise us they were going to come and we were super excited. We even called everyone to remind them. We were so excited and hopeful as we walked to the church Sunday morning because we were certain that these people were going to come. Then we get to the Chapel and we sit down and we wait. Then the Bishop gets up at 9 and starts the meeting. We are looking around and looking around and there was nobody. So we run out of the chapel and start calling some people. Everyone was canceling on us (well those that answered the phone)...
