Sunday Miracles in 3 Months

Hola Everyone! 

So this week was great! It's veeerrry hot over here but the work is good! So I hit 3 months this last week which is crazy sauce!! Time is just flying. 

THE GOOD STUFF:

So we have had a hard past few weeks with not really anyone progressing and we haven't been able to get anyone to come to church for a long time. Me and my comp have just been praying and praying and fasting that we could have someone come. We had a lot of people promise us they were going to come and we were super excited. We even called everyone to remind them. We were so excited and hopeful as we walked to the church Sunday morning because we were certain that these people were going to come. Then we get to the Chapel and we sit down and we wait. Then the Bishop gets up at 9 and starts the meeting. We are looking around and looking around and there was nobody. So we run out of the chapel and start calling some people. Everyone was canceling on us (well those that answered the phone). All except one Lady named Yobelkis that we have only been teaching for a week. She tells us that she was in the hospital until 2 in the morning last night but that she is on her way. She even mentioned how Satan usually tries to put things in our way when he know we are doing the right thing.

So at 9:35 she runs in and sits down next to me. My heart literally skipped a beat we were so happy! And then at 9:50 her son and her daughter both walk into the chapel. It truly was a Sunday miracle. And they said they are coming back next week and she is going to bring more people! We are super excited. 

The Lord really does see our efforts and he is going to bless us for it. Maybe not in the way that we thought and maybe it isn't going to be very big, but he knows exactly what we need. We just need to trust in his timing and never stop trying to follow in his way. We need to trust him!!! Satan is also the worst but I am SO grateful for my Savior because with him we can overcome anything.

 THE FUN STUFF:

So not too many fun stories from this week but we did have a cool lightning storm the other night! We actually had a big hurricane scare but it ended up going the other direction so everyone was safe. But apparently it's headed for Florida and the Bahamas so my prayers go out to the people over there!

Hola everyone!  This week was awesome! We had zone conference with two members of the 70 who were doing a mission tour this week! Elder Alverado is actually speaking in conference in October and he is AWESOME so I encourage you all to pay special attention to him.  Zone Conference THE GOOD STUFF: So this week we had zone conference and boy was it amazing. We had two members of the 70 there and spoke to us. Elder Alverado talked about the gathering of Israel and how it is the most important work on the earth. We really are in a time where we are preparing for Christ to come. It's a cool experience to be completely immersed and dedicated to this gathering and this work. A scripture that we have been using a lot this week is in 2 Nephi 26:33. Hola everyone!  This week was crazy and full of miracles! I also hit 6 months so that is just crazy sauce. Time is flying by and I just can't keep up!  THE GOOD STUFF: So. Gary. We went back to his house after the tithing lesson and he said that he feels so good and he just can't wait for Saturday to come! I have never met anyone so prepared and ready for the gospel. He said that he knows how much his life is going to change but how he is willing to give up everything because the changes he is going to make are worth far more than anything else.  We also have a new friend we are teaching named Carlos. He is 21 and speaks English! He is so interested in the gospel and really was looking for the truth when we found him. We gave him a Book of Mormon this week and he told us that he was going to read the whole thing as fast as he could cause he just wants to know if its true for himself.  I am realizing the importance of putting the gospel first ...
