You're really gonna leave right now??
Hola everyone!
This week was awesome! We had zone conference with two members of the 70 who were doing a mission tour this week! Elder Alverado is actually speaking in conference in October and he is AWESOME so I encourage you all to pay special attention to him.

THE GOOD STUFF:
So this week we had zone conference and boy was it amazing. We had two members of the 70 there and spoke to us. Elder Alverado talked about the gathering of Israel and how it is the most important work on the earth. We really are in a time where we are preparing for Christ to come. It's a cool experience to be completely immersed and dedicated to this gathering and this work. A scripture that we have been using a lot this week is in 2 Nephi 26:33. It says:
33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he ainviteth them ball to ccome unto him and partake of his goodness; and he ddenieth none that come unto him, black and white, ebond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the fheathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.
Christ is inviting all to come unto him. Doesn't matter who you are, where you came from or what you look like. He invites all to come unto him and partake in his goodness. Through Christ and through his help we can change. We can become the people that we want to be and who he needs us to be. But it's only an invitation. Of course he wants us to come, but we have to make the choice. Ultimately we choose if we want to follow him. In this day and time when the world is so confusing, it is SO important that we choose to follow him. It is only through Christ that we find pure joy and true happiness.
We also met a guy this week from New Jersey. We were walking home and he chased us down to talk to us. He told us that he had been trying to find an English bible but couldn't find one anywhere. We talked for a while and ended up telling him all about the Book Of Mormon. He told us that he wanted us to stop by the next day so he could give us his number (he didn't have his phone on him at the time). So we stopped by the next day to talk to him. He owns a BBQ stand so he ended up giving us a HUGE plate of American BBQ (which was soooo good) and we just started talking to him. He asked us what made our church different than all the others, Hermana Heaton and I just looked at each other and said "well, where to begin!" We ended up teaching him the whole restoration, in English. Which was kinda weird but super cool for me. He told us that he has explored a lot of other religions and that he really wants to read the Book Of Mormon. Soooo we are super excited about that.
THE FUN STUFF:
So we were sitting at a members house this last week and it started to rain a little. They have a tin roof so it was kinda loud. After a few minutes it started to rain super hard, to the point where we were yelling at each other cause we could't hear anything. Hermana Heaton and I realized that we had left our windows in our house open. So we looked at the members and we were like "So sorry but we gotta go!" They looked at us like crazy people and said "You're going to leave right now?" and we were like "yes! It's okay we can just run!" They started laughing but they were worried about us so they gave us some jackets (that were just a wee bit to big) and we started running. The rain was SO heavy and we were just running and dying of laughter. We got soaked but we got to our window on time.
