*Cough Cough*

Hola everyone!

Alright I know I talk about the weather so much but this entire week it was either cloudy or it rained!! It was honestly the biggest blessing. Thank you to whoever sent their prayers over to the two little roasting hotdogs because it worked! We actually had a huge rainstorm on Saturday night which was fun :)

The rainstorm (I know it looks like snow but it's rain I promise)

THE GOOD STUFF:
So we had a really cool lesson with a lady and her two daughters that we have only taught once before. The first time we met them Xiomara (the mom) told us that she was Caltholic, but that she wouldn't turn away "la palabra de Dios" aka the word of God. So we shared a scripture about Christ and left them with the restoration pamphlet and put a day to come back. We came back the next week and were very surprised to find out that Camila (one of the daughters who is 18) had read the whole thing and had lots of questions about Joseph Smith. So we sat down and we taught the restoration. Hermana Heaton bore her testimony about the first vision and the spirit was so strong and the room went super quiet. We waited a minute and then asked them how they felt. Xiomara (the mom) told us that she felt tranquility. She just kept putting her hand on her chest and kept saying that she felt something that she couldn't describe. It was so cool to see a change in her and see her heart open up to the gospel. The week before she told us that she couldn't come to church but after this lesson she said that she thinks she can come! Her daughters are really excited about coming as well. My favorite part about missionary work is watching peoples hearts open up and when you just know that they felt something special.

Just a happy lil Missionary with her favorite island flowers

More pretty flowers

THE FUN STUFF:
Okay so this isn't really fun, but me and my comp both got gripe (gree-peh) this week. Gripe is your classic head cold, with a sore throat, runny nose and cough. Not super fun but we are pushing through it! Although we do sound like two old men trying to teach the gospel hahaha.

Don't forget to love like He does and NEVER give up!

Con amor,
Hermana Kmetzsch

Our preparations for making Dominican Spaghetti!
(It turned out amazing and are very proud)

Cute Hermana Heaton hit her one year mark this week and
we made a cake to celebrate:)
