Gonna be a Mom!
Hello everyone!
This week was kinda crazy! We had our Christmas zone conference which was amazing! We got to watch the new Lion King movie which was such a cute little Christmas present :) We also have transfers this week and President called me and I will be training a new missionary! I am a little bit nervous cause I still feel like a brand new missionary, but I am excited for the new adventures to come!
THE GOOD STUFF:
So this week in Sunday school we had an amazing lesson about the words "love" and "light" and what they mean. We were talking about the word love, and how it relates to our Heavenly father. The Hermano teaching (who is actually from orem) said something very special that I want to share. He was talking about the name Father and how many more ways you can say it (dad, papa, daddy etc). He said that as a Father, there are only certain people that can call you that name, the people closest to you, your children. He related that to our relationship with our Heavenly Father and how He literally is our Father, our Papa, our Dad.
How many times when we pray do we use the name dad, or papa? He isn't just some God who is far away, or some being who doesn't listen. He is our literal Father and He loves us more than we can ever imagine. Prayer is the way we communicate with him and it shouldn't be the same repeated thing that we say every day, it is a personal conversation, a counseling session, a heart to heart with our Dad, who wants to hear the deepest desires and feelings of our heart. What a beautiful blessing to know that he is there!
We have also been doing lots of things to light the world this month! We went to a university this week and gave out free hot chocolate which was great! I am also very excited about this upcoming Sunday and the special event that the church is doing. I encourage you all to find a friend to bring, whether it be a less active or a nonmember, get out of your comfort zone and invite someone to come and feel of the Savior's love. LIGHT THE WORLD!
Con amor,
Hermana Kmetzsch
