Coffee

Hello everyone!

This week was a hard week but also a week full of miracles! The Lord really does work in mysterious ways.

THE GOOD STUFF:
So we are teaching a woman named Ana right now. We went last week and taught her about the word of wisdom. She agreed with almost everything we taught, but she wasn't too happy about the fact that we don't drink coffee. She said that she LOVES coffee and that she's been drinking it every day since she was a little girl. We talked about how we can work with her and help her to overcome it. She said that she would try "poco a poco" or "little by little" but she didn't seem too happy.
We were bummed but she said she would try so we decided to make her a "Coffee Calendar." We had a box for everyday and how many cups she could drink and we planned it out so she could leave it gradually and all that jazz and we felt pretty good about it. So the next appointment we went to her house with our coffee calendar and we were all ready to show her our plan. We started the lesson and I asked her how her coffee drinking is going. She got super excited and then told me "I don't drink coffee anymore! I hid my coffee pot and threw away all my coffee packets. I know that it's bad for me and I am not going to drink it anymore!"
It was such a miracle! I thought it was going to be such a process to help her out but the Lord works in mysterious ways. When we do our part and show him our plan he will provide a way. Even if it isn't the plan we had originally :)

THE FUN STUFF:
Okay so yesterday we had quite the adventure... we were leaving our apartment and we had shut and locked the door, the gate on the door and we had walked out of the gate/door to the apartment place, so all was closed, and then it started to rain a little and so we decided to go back to get the umbrella. This is when we realized that my comp had left the keys in the house.... This wasn't a huge problem because I had extra keys to the house, we just needed to get into the apartment place. So we called a few people and eventually we got in. We walked up to our door, opened the gate and then when we tried to open the door the key wouldn't work... So we tried forever, said lots of prayers and nothing. Long story short, we called a member of the bishopric and he ended up coming over with some guys from the other ward and they tried everything. We could see the keys from the front window but we just couldn't reach them. After many attempts and lots of broomsticks being tied together, hitting the door handle, using a credit card and many more attempts, we found a giant pipe, attached some wires and somehow managed to knock the keys off of the desk and drag them to the window.. SO grateful for the people that helped us and really the lord always answers our prayers, even if it is in a very mysterious way.

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Kmetzsch
